Summer

10 x 10 inches Oil Mix Media on gallery wrapped canvas, edges are painted.

Summer celebrates the vibrant dance between hummingbirds and blossoms—a season of pure joy captured in mixed media.

This layered composition brings nature's magic to life through oil, acrylic inks, acrylics, alcohol inks, and collage elements. Built in successive stages with careful mark-making, stencil work, and deliberate layering, each material adds depth and movement. The oils, applied as the final touch, awaken the bird and flowers into luminous presence—a living testament to the season's fleeting beauty.

A gallery-worthy piece that honors both the delicate hummingbird and the flowers it treasures.
